Here’s a video from an improvised duo performance last month with Tom Swafford. Tom and I have been working together for years, though we have logged more hours playing folk music than improvised at this point–its always refreshing to play with Tom in any context due to his focus and command. Next year Tom and I will hit the studio to record an all improvised record, excited for that one.
Special thanks to Michael Larocca and Aaron Rubinstein for having us play at their house series, keep an ear out for their work! There are a lot of strong improvised music series going on around town right now and I’ll definitely be checking out more shows at Michael and Aaron’s place, fun room acoustically as well.
